SMM July 3rd News: According to SMM, Shandong Humon has initiated a public tender today for the sale of a batch of 5N high-purity selenium. The 5N high-purity selenium has a selenium content of 99.999% (chemical composition complies with the Se99.999 requirements of YS/T 816-2012) and is packaged in iron drums, 30 kg per drum.

As per official information, this batch of 5N high-purity selenium totals 5,000 kg (actual weight subject to weighing). The delivery method is buyer pickup, with transportation costs borne by the buyer. In accordance with national regulations, qualified hazardous chemical transport vehicles must be used, and buyers are required to complete pickup by July 24th. The delivery location is Shandong Humon Smelting Co., Ltd. Sales contact: Liu Xin, Tel: 13280982800.

Currently, the official tender does not specify a starting bid price but adopts a "highest bidder wins" approach. Buyers are to submit bids based on their own assessments. If a buyer’s offer does not meet the seller’s reserve price, the seller reserves the right to reject the sale. To ensure timely bidding, interested parties must submit their quotation requests, copies of their business licenses, invoicing information (with official seal), and hazardous chemical operation licenses to 95186930@qq.com by 11:30 AM on July 4th, 2025, and promptly contact the company’s personnel for confirmation. The final interpretation right belongs to the seller.

Market analysts note that as selenium prices have recently stabilized and raw material costs have begun to rise, although trading activity remains moderate, Shandong Humon’s tender for this batch of selenium could serve as a test of market demand. Given the relatively small quantity, the likelihood of a successful transaction is high. The final bidding price may reflect certain market conditions and provide guidance for the industry. SMM will continue to track and report on the progress of the tender.
